CONTENT PRECEDES DESIGN. DESIGN IN THE ABSENCE OF CONTENT IS NOT DESIGN, IT'S DECORATION.

About Kai - The Graphic Design Guy
Based in Singapore, Kai Gwee is a graphic designer specialising in visual design for F&B, retail, exhibitions and institutional spaces. His work focuses on creating designs that not only look good on screen, but also work effectively in real-world environments.
With a background in animation and over a decade of experience in graphic design, Kai has worked with brands and organisations such as BreadTalk, Nurasa, Republic Polytechnic and PAUL Bakery. His projects range from menus and packaging to storefront graphics, campus visuals and large-format exhibition displays.
His work has been applied across retail outlets, campus environments and exhibition spaces, where design must function effectively at scale and in real-world settings.
Having been involved in both brand development and physical environment design, Kai understands the practical side of design — materials, scale, print production and installation. This allows him to help businesses and organisations turn ideas into clear, impactful visuals that work in real spaces.
In 2024, he led At Tea Singapore’s rebranding for its At Tea 2.0 launch, overseeing the visual direction across brand and retail touchpoints. Beyond design, Kai also explores craftsmanship through handcrafted leather goods under @madeinsixfive, reflecting his belief that good design combines creativity with practical execution.
